GOING, Going, gone

We both knew it would happen....Chemo makes your hair fall out.

There is no stopping the inevitable.

So we decided to document it for all the kids that are missing out seeing Dad everyday.

It has been one month since we found out that Phil has cancer.

One month to the day and all his hair is gone.

He just finished his second Chemo treatment and we both knew it was time for the buzz.

The hair just fell out in clumps.

Soooooo, I got to tug some on the hair that he had left and then took the clippers and buzzed the rest.

Whatever will I do with the clippers?

I guess I'll have to wait for David to come home from BYU.

"Somethings not right with Dad"

Have you ever had one of those nagging feelings, "Somethings not right with Dad", that you can't get rid of, "Somethings not right with Dad", and it just keeps surfacing? "Somethings not right with Dad". I didn't know why I kept telling Melanie and April that everytime they called since Christmas. It was just little things that made me feel that way. I felt like we had to go on our cruise to the Mexican Riviera, after all it was our 33rd anniversary. Every time Phil had some new pain or sympton I told him to go see the doctor. And for the first time, he actually did go. Now I understand that I was being prepared for what was to come. Phil has cancer.
